Speaker Trees

Built with Kerstin Gilg, “Speaker Trees” is constructed out of two speaker cones; one acting as a microphone, picking up the sounds of the floor, processing it and sending it back out of the top as an echo, or response to the original sound. When the user moves their hands over the flashing lights on the top the sound processing is changed. “Speaker Trees” was used both as an interactive installation and with dance troop, “Esse Aficionado” to generate a sound scape based on the sounds of the dancers feet.
