When I first entered the class, "Sculpting with Data" I had the task of conjuring up what sorts of data are interesting to me which I would like to sculpt with. There is tons of endless data available in the world that has to be actively pursued; one must go out (or in the case of the Internet: surf out) and find it. I have always been interested in things which are already there and don't require searching as much as they require assembling. When I say assembling I mean creating a process or interpreting mechanism which allows us, or something else, to perceive and interpret the data. So the idea of using radio was natural; the radio waves are all around us, constantly, and with a little assembling I was able to create a little dude who could perceive the radio waves (just in their mere power) and using this information was able to create a little aural feedback mechanism. It is exciting to me to create a little clue about that which is omnipresent yet not omni-perceivable.

I would like to add to the Radio Runner, a moving antenna, which will give the viewer more of a feeling that it is really searching in the air for what is going on.
